Vintage Photographs

In honor of the late SightSpeed 3.0, I'm posting some old time pics of the salad days - from 3 months ago in Germany. And if we had this much fun with the last release, just think what lies in store for 4.0...

Get ready...

If you haven't heard yet, we're launching SightSpeed 4.0 tomorrow. That's right ladies and gentlemen, the best gets better, with new & improved...well, everything. We've included the most requested features (yes, sometimes we do listen to you) as well as some other features you probably won't notice but will make SightSpeed that much better. Apologies in advance, though - we didn't have time to add compatability with the Force. Besides, there are some things the Force just can't do.

Working from Home, Part II

Day #2 saw no more or less traffic than Day #1. So it looks like we're keeping the hours as they currently are, 7AM - 5PM Cali time, Monday to Friday. And in case you really wanted to see my humble abode, here I am in my tiny apartment right across from Berkeley campus. Yes I got the hoodie from Neighborhoodies. And yes I really did marry a goth girl. Posted by Hello

Working from home

One of the great things about SightSpeeding is that you can do it anywhere - in the office, at home, in Peet's - wherever you've got a high-speed connection. So yesterday I logged in extra early at 5 AM to see if I could catch any of you east-coasters at 8 AM. I didn't feel like scooting to the office, so I just rolled outta bed, made some espresso, and logged in from my home computer.
Well, not many of you were up, since I didn't get too many calls. A few from Massachusetts were. I also got a call from Japan, Syria, and merry ol' England. What do you think: should our support hours stick to Cali time, or should we start at earlier hours?

Look! A Surprise Inside!

When I was a kid, one of my favorite things to get from the neighborhood candy van was Cracker Jack. Not because they tasted good - sugar coated peanut popcorn never did appeal to me. No, but it was the surprise inside...that chance of getting something special, yet secret, and even though it was usually either a fake tattoo (the best) or a decoder ring (lame), that feeling of getting an uncertain thing - and for free - got me every time.
And so it is with SightSpeed Starter Kits - not only do you get a camera and headset, but we throw in a free surprise! Although we don't rotate stock much (actually, it's always the same thing), when we're out, we're out, and we move on to something else.
So get your Starter Kit, and get ready for your free surprise inside - in addition to the bubble wrap.
Got an idea for the next surprise? Leave a comment.

Where's the SightSpeed Guy?

Well, yeah, the blog has been a little dry lately, but I'm back! Lots of starter kits have been going out, especially the Promo deal, which is not at all surprising, since we're practically giving them away for free. That's right - buy a year of SightSpeed, get a free camera, while they last. Or, if you've already got SightSpeed, send a Gift Kit to someone - your friend, loved one, your secret agent contact in San Diego - everything they need to start SightSpeeding.
