Truthiness Prevails!

I did my part, and the wordinistas banded together like so many smelly hippie dreads to show due props to the word more deserving than all others to be awarded 2006's Word of the Year by Merriam-Webster: TRUTHINESS

Now let's make it a 2-fer at Dictionary.com! Do your duty, people!

OMFG! Say it isn't so! I just saw on the news that MW announced that Stephen Colbert's 'truthiness' was given the illustrious award. Of course, I had to rush to let you know in case you didn't find out yet. I should have known you'd be on it like a fly on shi . . . well, you know. Congrats! I still hate that word though & refuse to use it in a sentence, er, uh, um wait, I DID use it in a sentence above. Oh geeeezus, now I'm going to have to kill myself(lol). What is this world coming to when a non word becomes word of the year? I need a drink, now damnit!
