Oh! Oh! GRUPS! Yes! Grups! I totally tried to make Scott listen to it, but he refused. Because he was playing a new song on his new guitar.
In his $200.00 purposely ripped jeans and post-ironic T-shirt from Urban Outfitters. While listening to either Death Cab For Cutie or Interpol on iTunes.
After which he asked me to dye his hair and requested that if we ever have a baby it be named Sterling Moss and have a baby mohawk.
Most of that? Was actually true. I leave you to pick out the parts that were lies.
I don't know if this makes me a nerd, but I immediately knew the Star Trek reference. The part about hanging on to my childhood, tho, I wasn't expecting. Shelling out for designer jeans, tho, I tried once, 5 years ago. Since then I've stuck with Levi's.
Knowing the Star Trek reference is a sure qualifier for nerd-dom. I think I'd be happy to stick with Levi's myself, if I could ever find any that fit right and don't have that "sausage casing" or "gigantic caboose" effect.
Parts that were NOT true about that comment: The jeans were on sale.
